Engage U empowers future and current Utah students and their families by offering comprehensive, cross-institutional, and collaborative programming. Rooted in purposeful and culturally relevant community engagement, Engage U offers on-campus programming and navigational support, as well as college access programming in the community.
About
Engage U creates programs designed to meet the following four initiatives:
Implement low-cost, high-impact strategies to improve student outcomes.
Engage returning students intent on completing a University of Utah degree.
Influence students' motivation to (re)connect with the U, to persist, and to complete degrees and/or certificates, thereby elevating the lives of all Utahns.
Empower non-degree seeking adults to pursue certificates and other professional development activities.
Engage U at Herriman
Thanks to a groundbreaking partnership between the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, students can earn an associate’s degree in two years by taking SLCC courses before taking University of Utah courses to complete your bachelor’s degree, all without ever leaving our Herriman campus. Engage U in the Juniper Building at the Herriman Campus connects students to University and Herriman-exclusive resources like our designated academic advisor, transfer resources, and hybrid opportunities students can access from home or the satellite campus.
Engage U at Glendale
Engage U at the Glendale-Mt. View Community Learning Center provides individual pre-college
student support and proactive programming related to college access, parent and family
engagement, pathways to certificate opportunities, and professional development for
adult learners.
